2000 Corton, Domaine Latour

Wasn't sure what to expect. Was going out for dinner and already knew I
wanted the rabbit dish so I searched for something to work with it that
would merit paying the corkage fee. Word was that this could be chancy and
even over the hill. On opening, the getting old was clear, nose was weak,
tannins about zilch, but it opened up for about 45 great minutes of soft
burgundy with a little tickle on the finish. Even as I finished my last
glass the glow was fading.

No real sense of color as the lighting was insufficient but from the first
hints of the wine I expected to find a hint of brown as there was a hint of
oxidation in the first sip.

If you have this drink it quick.

Thanks for notes. I like 2000 Burgs better than most, but think Cote de
Nuits generally better than Cote de Beaune. I don't have this, but do
have the Bonneau du Martray Corton, will try and get to it soon.
Thanks
