Default TN: '01 Montevina 'SHR Field Blend' Zinfandel

Last night opened our last bottle of the '01 "SHR Field Blend"; 80% Zin, 13%
Petite Syrah, 7% Barbera.

Wonderful wine - rich, heady nose - full of dark aromas; chocolate, leather,
dark fruit. Still lively and reasonably tannic - probably will continue to
drink well for a few more years.

We had bought a few of these from Cost Plus world Markets some many months
back for $15.99 @. Unfortunately, World Market doesn't seem to have the 01
in stock anymore, nor does BevMo. Cheapest I can find it (in CA) through
wine-searcher is $19.99. Not bad, but $15.99 sure is better! Winery still
selling the 01 but at $24. Definitely want to get a few more of these.

Recommended. Went well last night with a rich, medium spicey lamb curry.

Sounds like something to seek out, but appears that I will have no luck in
finding it!

Thanks for the refreshing notes!

If you run a wine searcher on the wine, there is a place in Washington State
that has it on sale for $13.99 a bottle - a great price! Sorry, can't
remember the place right now, and am currently working offline. BUt wine
searcher will kick it up for you.

Just ordered a case ourselves before this steal, er 'deal', disappears!
