Default Murphy Goode Tin Roof Sauvignon Blanc - any thoughts?

A local liquor outlet (Haskell's) with stores in the Mpls/St.Paul area
of Minnesota has a buy one get one free offer on this wine. Buy a
bottle for $9.99, get the second one for free, or buy a case for
$119.88 and get the second case for free. I like SB and this is
a great price ... if the wine is any good. Any thoughts?

Seems like a good price with the deal, and hey, no corked worries! I
thought this was good whatever its first vintage was.

Screw cap? If so, maybe that's why they call it "Tin Roof" ... or maybe not.
Regardless, I think I'll purchase a bottle or twelve and check it out.
Thanks for the thumbs up.

yes, the name is because it's a screwcap. Please report!
PS As you said it was a "liquor outlet", I'd start off with the buy
one bottle get one free. Especially if it's not the 2005. You don't
want older SB that might have storage issues.

Hi Dale,
Thanks for the tip, I'll check the vintage.
BTW: In Minnesota, where the legislature is protecting us from all evil,
grocery stores can only sell "non intoxicating" malt beverages containing
3.2% alcohol or less. Wine, stronger beer and liquor are only sold at liquor
outlets.
