Hi all

I'm not off in a huff, just off on holidays to South America for a month.
May be able to join you from the UK from mid December onwards.
Bon appetit

Hi Ian,

You lucky dog. We shall expect a report on Peruvian wines. Or other
unusual beverages. Ahayuasca?

I somehow don't expect to be finding too many world class wines there,
though The Travel Channel's "Flavours of Peru" series have made me hope that
we might find some good food at least in the big cities. I certainly intend
to taste guinea pig if it's on offer! Yes, Mark... ceviche. Hmm... no doubt
it will be fascinating to discover it in its native surroundings. I'm told
there's an "Inca Cola" which is of a virulent orange colour and which is to
be avoided at all costs.

Hey ho.
Anyway, this is "the last post" till mid december.

I take your point but Inca Cola is on sale in supermarkets
around DC. I have not been tempted to try it but the
manufacturer makes a quite a decent Ginger Beer (not the pallid
domestic "Ale").

I doubt if we'll be heading your way I'm afraid. However, Jacquie & I shall
be meeting with a bunch of foodies for lunch at Heston B's Hind's Head hotel
in Bray on Saturday 29th. We've booked a private room, and have room for up
to 30 there at £38 for a three course meal with sides and coffee. Booze
extra. I've taken deposits from 20 so far. If you were interested in tasting
triple cooked chips, oxtail and kidney pudding and the famous quaking
pudding, then this might be your opportunity.

All the best
Ian

Have a great trip Ian & Jacquie - await with great interest your reports on
Peruvian Pinot and Galapagos Gewurz.

I also believe that the Fricassee of Equatorial Albatross (made with seal
milk and the island morels) and deep fried Iguana is most memorable.

Bon voyage et bon apetit, Ian. Don't eat too much ceviche!
