Default 2 notes re wine stems

This season's wine related gift I'm most happy with is some Burgundy
stems from Schott Zweisel. These are the Tritan series, where they use
titantium instead of lead, and are break-resistant. I already had the
Bdx, Chardonnay, and rose/Riesling stems, now I have the Burgs, too.So
I can put my Burg stems in dishwasher! If anyone is interested, Betsy
got at Crate and Barrel, they are advertized as the Loire line, but
they are SZ Forte line (has the SZ stamp). A bit cheaper than most
places offer the SZ.

I got the short Burgundy, The "Sauvignon" is the SZ Forte Bordeaux
stem.

I'll also know that on another forum there were a series of posts re
the Zalto Denk'Art Champagne stems. Emily (winemonger.com) who posts
here occasionally, is the West Coast distributor. These aren't cheap
stems, but the Champagne glass is fabulous (I posted here in May on
the Zalto stems). I actually liked the whole line, except the Burgundy
which I found ungainly. A couple of eBob posters did tests against a
lot of high end stems, the Zaltos gained a lot of fans. These are very
expensive stems, about same as Riedel Sommeliers, but very nice if
anyone wants to splurge on a gift for a significant someone (too late
for Christmas, but ...).
