Default [TN] '05 Granite de Clisson

Tonight, with a light dinner of some homemade Croques Monsieur and
gazpacho, I opened:

2005 Domaine de la Pepiere Muscadet Granite de Clisson
nose: intense minerality, green apples, pineapple
palate: rich mouthfeel, minerals, apples, crisp acidic spine

I've had two bottles of this wine before tonight, the first last year
and the other last week in Durham, NC. In both cases, the wine was
somewhat diffuse and almost soft. Not tonight: it was intense, focused
and clearly delineated. All in all, a great showing for this "Grand
Cru" Muscadet. Most Chablis producers would be envious of this wine. A
bargain at $19 a bottle.

Nice note, sounds good. Have a couple tucked away, maybe should think
of pulling out
