I am not surprised about this. For quite a few years I have been
independently coming to the same conclusions - by reading TNs on the
same wine from professional tasters, listening to opinions from
experienced amateurs, and comparing medals awarded at competitions. Oh,
and, not least, rereading my own very different TNs for the same wine.
Bottle variation? No - taster variation in most cases. And the sooner
we acknowledge and embrace that fact the better. It's nothing to feel
embarrassed or upset about - it's how we humans are.
