The TN Graacher Himmelreich Auslese 1975, J. J. Prum , A.P Nr.
2576511-2376, was stored under proper conditions since buying it shortly after release. There were no cork or other issues and the fill was high. The color is still fairly light yellow. There is still plenty of fruit but it is not highly tropical as are many of the1976 Mosels. It is a quite sweet and rich wine balanced by enough acidity. There is a bit of petrol, old-Riesling character that adds interesting complexity. J. J. Prum makes several wines in addition to the very famous Wehlener Sonnenuhr. Many of these are very good, as was this wine, and often are a better value because of the reputation of the star of the J.J. Prum holdings. |
