After last night's trip to the Dressner's Real Wine Attack in Chicago
(more on this later when I can put my notes together), we had a simple
dinner of take-out Thai food tonight. With it, we had a bottle
purchased last night:

2009 Domäne Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel "Terrassen"
nose: minerals, green peas, white pepper
palate: rich fruit, firmly acidic, minerals

Wow! At first, this wine seemed atypically big for a Federspiel, but
curiously with time it gained more definition and acidity. Rich yet
focused and precise, this was an outstanding example of Grüner for a
very appealing price (~$13)
