I hope I shall be forgiven if I encourage anybody who is in the North
of England between 21st and 30th September to have a look at the
programme of the York Festival of Food and Drink and see if anything
takes their fancy. (I would be delighted to meet anybody from this
group who cares to come to my Saint-Émilion lunch in the Mansion House
- washed down by 7 wines, including 2 Grands Crus Classés, all for
GBP35.00 but there is also a lot of other interesting things going
on.)
