Default My Online Wine List Demo

I keep my wine list online at my domain. However I am not about to give
out the URL for the full list. I have made a demo of it for you to see
with only two links on the list working. This is all contained in one
directory which will be erased in a few days to prevent links generated
by Google, etc from working and allowing people to hot link to some of
my streaming media. The domain eMail link that serves the feedback form
also will be deleted.

There are a few single bottles of real dogs left on the Bordeaux list.
These date from the days when I was trying to find at least one bottle
of all of the classified growths. I long ago concluded that many
classified wines were not worth finding.

Technical Details

To see all of the multi-media included you need to have javascript,
java, and ActiveX(when available) turned on. You also need to have the
Windows Media Player(10 best) and the Real Player(10.5 best) installed.
Both are free downloads. Also Quicktime may be helpful on Mozilla,
Firefox, and Netscape browsers. The full program will work on my most
recent computer browsers from IE6, MSN9, MYIE2, Mozilla, Firefox,
Netscape, and Opera. Getting all of the media to work on all of these
browsers is a nightmare. Briefly, Java controls the fancy wine list
heading; without Java on, you get no heading. Javascript must be on to
see some very elaborate dhtml(motion) effects. You have a choice of 3
kinds of audio on the Bordeaux page. There also is a short streaming
video movie. If you are on 56K dialup, this might take up to 1/2 hour to
start streaming since it plays at 359 K bits/second. However on
broadband it will play nearly at once. If you do not want to wait, you
can stop loading on the big WMP control bar. The pages are written in
valid W3C xhtml 1.1, the latest version that is in general use yet. It
is built up of several modules. that link to the relatively short main
page.

My mailbox is always full to avoid spam. To contact me, erase
from my email address. Then add . I do not
check this box every day, so post if you need a quick response.
