Default NIAGARA WINERY TOURING/TASTINGS

Hello All,

The wife and I are spending some anniversary time in Niagara-on-the-Lake on the weekend of July 9/10, and we are wanting some touring/tasting recommendations for about 4-5 wineries while we're there.

Anyone want to suggest the stand-outs? (I have some ideas, however I'm looking for new suggestions/validations, etc.).

Cheers,

- Ian

Sweet Petuti; where to start.

Lailie; just south of NOTL along the Parkway right across from the McFarland House.

Cave Spring Cellars; in Jordan Station... exit the QEW at Jordan 1st exit East of Vineland.

Chateau des Charmes; exit QEW at White Oaks just East of the St. Catharines skyway and turn right at York Road. Don't miss their Gamay "Droit".

Peninsula Ridge; Exit the QEW at the Bartlet Road exit on the East end of Grimsby, turn left at Rte 81.

Jackson-Triggs; Near NOTL,a great ultramodern winery to tour and their Delaney vineyard wines are not to be missed.

I'v missed a lot of other wineries but these are my current A list. Good luck.

Cave Springs in Jordan (a beautiful little village) is my favourite.
Especially when they have the Gamay Reserve in stock.

Think Jordan turnoff is just before the N. on L. exit.

Sounds like a great weekend.
