Default TN: '01 Cap de Faugeres

Friday night I was home alone. A ribeye in a red wine/shallot sauce,
broccoli, and some leftover roasted veggies. I opened a 2001 Cap de
Faugeres (Cotes de Castillon). Medium-bodied, ripe and ready to go.
Black cherry fruit with a hint of cassis, a bit of earth and espresso.
Good clean finish. Modern without being excessively oaky. Hard to
imagine a better inexpensive drink-while-young Right Banker. B++

Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent
wine, B a good wine, C mediocre. Anything below C means I wouldn't
drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no
promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency

Thanks for the TN Dale.... I've several bottles of 2000 left and there are
some 01's on the shelf at the store so perhaps it's time to add a few for
more everyday drinking.

Cheers,
Gary

Thanks for that note. I have some '97 that's still really good and have
been thinking of getting some 2001.
