My wife was recently in Los Angeles for a conference and met my brother one
night for dinner at the Enterprise Fish Company. They had a chardonnay for dinner and to keep the wine "chilled", the restaurant put a metal rod about 1/2 inch in diameter in the bottle (it extended the full length of the bottle). It was capped by a metal "spout" about an inch in length that could be turned (counter) clockwise to open/close the spout to pour the wine. I was wondering if anyone any info on this?! Ryan P.S. My wife had the '04 Markham Chardonnay at dinner. She is definitely learning, as she told me that she noticed that the chard that was being served at a function at the conference was complete "scheiße". Now she knows why I don't buy the "cheap" wine, that in some cases, it is worth splurging a bit on wine. ![]() |
