Default Wine clubs?

Greetings!

As someone who became interested in wine just a few months ago, I'm
interested in trying a wine club and am looking for recommendations. I'd
like something that would ship wines from various countries and
vineyards, both red and white wines. Something similar to this:
http://www.wine.com/wineclubs/ . Does anyone have experience with one of
the wine clubs from wine.com?

I had almost signed up for this one:
https://www.directwineonline.com/4_s...wine_club.aspx but then read
from a few people that they felt it was a rip-off, that the selection
was poor and some bottles delivered had been obviously mishandled
(poorly stored). So I want to be cautious. Advice and recommendations
would be much appreciated.
