Default oddest place to find a wine kit?

Just saw one at the local hardware/livestock/farm/misc store.

not a wineexpert kit either, just thought it was odd to see it on
display next to the gallons of paint

Tater:

Don't know where you live, but wine kits at hardware stores (and gas
stations and drug stores) is pretty common in Canada, especially
smaller towns.

Joe:

I guess Cabelas is encouraging you to relax at the trail's end with a
glass of wine.

It's common to find the kits and the equipment you need at a hardware
store. It is after all just a set of tools or "HARDWARE".

I live in Central Maryland about 7 miles from the
West Virginia State Line. In Charles Town, WV
concentrate and wine making supplies were sold AT
THE RADIO SHACK STORE. Unfortunately the store
no longer exists.

one of the reasons that i thought it was odd was that there were no
winemaking kits.

today when i went to pick up some welding rod the kits were there,
musta been outa stock.

still seems weird. "Yeah, I'd like some 1/8" 6013, a pair of cup style
gas welding goggles and a chardonay kit please, Oh, and some cattle
dewormer!"
