In trying out a new reader (Agent, free version) there seems to be a bit of
a problem getting messages posted.

Anyone here use this reader and can shed some (light) advice?

First, do you have the free version? or did you purchase the license?

In trying to respond to a post, everything seems normal and the message
appears to be sent, though nothing showed up online (messages are present in
Outbox).

Email worked just fine when sent to myself.

I have been using the free version for years... Look in your outbox
and see if your posts have a little smileyface... The Smileyface
means your message was sent successfully.

My posts appear in the newsgroup almost instantly, but I don't know if
that is the case everywhere. Check your options and preferences and
get them the way you want.

Agent has been a wonderful program for me.

When you open the outbox to you see a yellow smiley next to the posted
message? A red frown?

Make sure you are hiting send now (not send later)
Make sure your SMTP server is set corrrectly, (under options,
user/system profile, system tab) though It should be if your email
portion works. Also check under options, posting preverances and make
sure that everything looks ok in there....

some servers don't relay messages to the group right away. wait a day
or so before knowing that your message didn't make it...

all yellow smiley faces, but the posts were not appearing online.
This one was sent using agent, so it's working now, though I'm not
sure why. Thanx for the help.
