I was always curious. Why do we use plastic for primary fermenters and
glass for secondaries? |

It is hard to find large glass buckets that are open at the top so you can
work with the fruit. Also food grade plastic is cheaper and a bit less breakable. Glass would be better but I want my primary to be open at the top.
