Yeast Question

Hi, I new to this ng and I need some help

I have some yeast for rice wine that I bought about three to four
years ago. I kept in a plastic containers and I am wondering if it is
still good. Further, are there any ways I could test the yeast?

Thank you for your help.

Throw it away and buy some more just before you are going to use it!

From what I have read the yeast should last about a year if it has been
refrigerated and the package hasn't been opened.

My yeast packs come with a expiration date on them; usually about 2
years from now.
