I saw a gadget that holds 5 bottles (750ml) to keep them from rolling while
putting the labels on. It is made of yellow plastic with a "wood grain" texture. The intra-bottle cross beams are bevelled. I have searched various equipment supplier websites to no avail, Does anyone know where I can get one? What do others use for labelling? Thanks In Advance Bryan |

The board holds six bottles. Twelve, 1/2 X 3/4 inch cleats are nailed along the board to keep the bottles in place. Lum Del Mar, California, USA |

Only trick I have found, is most bottles have a fine 'line/seam' and I
line the edge of the label up with that then roll it on the rest of the way. -Rick On Sun, 19 Jun 2005, me wrote: > > > On Sat, 18 Jun 2005 23:21:46 GMT, "Lum" > > wrote: > > > > >"Bryan Webb" > wrote in message > m... > >> I saw a gadget that holds 5 bottles (750ml) to keep them from rolling > >while > >> putting the labels on. > >> It is made of yellow plastic with a "wood grain" texture. One of these days I'm going to have to invest in a mechanical labeller. But in the mean time I'm still using the thrown together labeller I made on the day of my first bottling. I took a 1 foot piece of 1 x 12 and nailed on a 6 inch 1 x 2 across the bottom. Then I took 2 others and mounted them perpendicular to it about 1 and 1/2 inch apart. These two boards form a U and are mounted to just cradle the bottle. After that I put a piece of 2 x 2 under the top of it to tilt it a little and there it was/is. Several thousand bottles later and it's still going strong. Just get one bottle labled like you want it and then make marks on the boards on both sides of it and then just line the next labels up on the lines. Does anyone know of a good, reputable company that you can submit a label
design and they can print off a couple hundred labels for fairly an exepensive price? Thanks in advanced. -- -Dak "Bryan Webb" > wrote in message ... > I saw a gadget that holds 5 bottles (750ml) to keep them from rolling while > putting the labels on. > It is made of yellow plastic with a "wood grain" texture.
