Once again its that time of year again, and once again I have a
question for the sages. I have a 6 gallon pail of must covered by a towel in my garage right now. Its a Merlot and I'm looking to add oak chips for the first time. My primary usually sits for around ten days till the sg falls to .995. At this point I've always added my mlf culture. This year I want to add chips to the carboy at the same time. Good idea? Bad idea ? Thanks for any input. |
