dandeloin lifespan

Greetings...

I realise this is a silly question but, what is the life span of the
dandelion plant / weed...

Larry,

A quick web search turned up the answer of 5 years, but I can't vouch
for the reliability of that number. Other sources simply state
"perennial", and in my informal experience, 5 yrs is believable if not
on the low side.

Why do you ask?
